Glib and Glob

These two came out extra cartoonish, even by my standards. Especially that big toothy grin of the inner beastie. That is someone who will drop an anvil on you without a moment’s hesitation. The bigger beastie looks more ‘real’ but also more alien. It almost makes me think they come from different dimensions, perhaps 2-D and 4-D meeting here on 3-D.

My “Beasties within Beasties” or just ‘double beasties’ are the first statues that I broke off into their own series. They are always a unique challenge to create. The smallest figure is always made first, and then the larger figure built around it. This leads to a lot of intuitive playing around and the results are never quite what I expect.

Which is probably why they are some of my favorite things to make.
