Mallet Duck

When I was a kid I tried many, many instruments. From cello to trombone. And though I never found one that spoke deep to my soul, the thing I enjoyed the most was percussion. Specifically, the timpani drums. There is just something about the big booming sounds that comes from whacking those big kettles with a mallet that is deeply pleasing.

I think this beastie captures that emotion well. Sure, I could have dressed them in more formal attire. A tucks and tails to fit in any concert hall. Instead I went with a weird corset and skirt number, and some fantastic goggles. I’m particularly pleased with the texture and lacing on the corset.

They are ready for whatever punk pop opera you might conceive.
